Nomos Glashütte Tangente

The Nomos Tangente, a touch of time

What characterizes a classic? Shape, style and mechanics neither have influence on, nor an interest in trends or tendencies. It is precisely this independence that render the traditional Tangente’s timelessness. It is indeed its timelessness that it has been awarded for several times. And above all it has not lost any of it ever since its launch in 1992. A watch, which would fascinate former as future generations just the same. Moreover the model’s name is not by chance: a line that has that only one point of touch with a radius. Certainly the course of time could not be reflected any better. For though it stands out for geometrical simplicity it does not seem stern in the slightest. To the connoisseur the Tangente explicitly represents the example Nomos watch. To this effect the Glashütte manufacture maintains its classic with only small changes and special editions.

The Art of adequate timing

One significant characteristic of the Nomos Glashütte Tangente is its white dial with numbering for every two-hour and different hands for hours and minutes depending on the respective model. The choice of these is broad: beside the solid selection of Nomos Glashütte Tangente, Nomos currently issues a collection of Doctors Without Borders thus making its financial contribution to the initiative of correspondence. In another limited edition the Tangente and the Tangente 33 are available with additional engraving. The significant shape of scales and numbers is furthermore highlighted by the slender stainless steel case and held by each and every model. Making it easy to look and do good at the very same time.
